Street photos I've taken over the past decade in my hometown of London

After recently going through two years’ worth of street photos I’d taken around London, I was given a renewed appreciation for my home city.

It’s easy to take the place you live in for granted. You spend most days rushing from A to B for routine errands or work, and you become immune to the interest that surrounds you every day.

When I first got into street photography, over a decade ago, I recall waiting with excitement for my next overseas trip so that I could do street photography. It took meeting someone who was travelling to London with the purpose of taking photos to realise I had a street photography playground on my doorstep.

This is one of the beauties of street photography. It teaches you to see the world around you in more depth. It trains you to notice light, colour, shadows, characters, and everyday scenes with a creative playfulness. In short, it makes life a more fascinating experience.

If you’d like to join me for some street photography, I regularly run workshops in London (1 day & 3 days).
